Factory-Certified Installation

Hood & Ventilation Installation

Combustion Gas Removal, Grease Fire Prevention, Sealed Joints

Range hoods and ventilation systems remove combustion gases, grease-laden air, and excess heat from your cooking surface. Our factory-certified team installs hoods with properly sized ductwork, sealed joints, correct CFM matching to your cooktop, and verified makeup air requirements.

Why This Isn't a DIY Job

An improperly installed range hood can fail to remove combustion byproducts (carbon monoxide from gas ranges), allow grease buildup in unsealed ductwork (creating a fire hazard), or create negative pressure in a tightly sealed home. Duct sizing must match the hood's CFM rating — undersized ducts cause noise, reduced airflow, and grease accumulation. Joints must be sealed with HVAC-grade tape or mastic, never screws through the duct interior (which catch grease). Homes with high-CFM hoods (over 400 CFM) may require makeup air systems per building code.

Our Process

How We Install Your Hood & Ventilation

01

Duct & Airflow Assessment

We evaluate duct routing, CFM requirements for your cooktop, and makeup air needs — ensuring your ventilation system is designed correctly before installation begins.

02

Mounting & Alignment

Your hood is mounted at the correct height above the cooktop per manufacturer spec, leveled precisely, and secured to the structure — not just drywall.

03

Ductwork & Sealing

Properly sized rigid ductwork installed with all joints sealed using HVAC-grade tape or mastic. No screws through the duct interior — they catch grease and create fire hazards.

04

Airflow & Capture Test

CFM output verified at every speed, capture efficiency tested with smoke to confirm proper draw, and all fan speeds validated before we leave.
